  • My navigation button/menu item is not showing.

You may have opted to include pages in your navigation but did not enter any text into the navigation text box in Page Info when building the page.

In this case, please edit the page(s) to include the text that you want to appear in the navigation and rebuild the page(s).

It may take up to 60 minutes for your site to update. If, after that time, you still do not see the navigation button/menu item your browser may be displaying an outdated version of the page from its cache.

Please refresh your browser by doing these two steps...

    1) Go to your site's home page.

    2) Hold down the Ctrl key and press the F5 button. (For Mac users, it's Command-R.) This will force your browser to download again any images it has stored in its cache.

If the button is still not showing, please contact Support...

    https://support.sitesell.com/contact-support.html

Please provide the file name of the page(s) not showing the navigation button/menu item.

Thank you for including this helpful information so that we can quickly assist you.

Changing the order of your navigation is easy...

    1. Log into Site Central and scroll down to the SiteBuilder section.

    2. Click on the Site Navigation link.

    3. Drag and drop your pages into the preferred order. For more information on working within Site Navigation, see its help...

  • I uploaded my own custom logo. Why is it overlapped by my domain name?

When you upload your own custom header image with text on it, the text that is entered in the Customize Logo section of the Site Designer will overlap your uploaded image.

Does your image already contain all of the text that you want your logo to show? Then remove the default logo text from the Site Designer by following these steps...

    1. Click the Site Designer button in Site Central.

    2. Click on the Header to open the Header toolbar.

    3. 3) Click the Abc icon in the Header Image Logo section of the toolbar to customize the logo. On the Customize Your Header Image/Logo screen, go to the Logo text field and press Ctrl-A to mark all text. Then press the Delete key on your keyboard to delete all text.

    4. Click the Save Header Logo button at the bottom of the screen.

    5. Click Save Style to save the changes and rebuild your template.

Your site will now be rebuilt with your new logo, a process that may take up to 60 minutes.

If, after 30 minutes, you still see your old logo, you may be viewing a cached copy of your pages and images. Hold down the Ctrl key and press F5 (Command-R on a Mac) to do a full refresh of your browser.

  • Can I use a non-SBI! design with my site?

Yes, you can use a non-SBI! design to create your site within SBI!. There are a couple of ways to accomplish this...

    1. It is possible to customize the various templates within the Site Designer Style Gallery by uploading your own custom images. However, each design has different requirements in order to replace the existing site element images and still have a cohesive design (i.e., width and height requirements). In addition, there are Custom (blank) templates that might be a great fit for your custom design.

A SiteSell Professionals designer can help you set up your non-SBI! template for your site, if you should need assistance with that. You can read more about this service and other design services here...

      https://pros.sitesell.com

    2. If you are comfortable with HTML and CSS, you can create your own HTML files (using your custom design elements) and upload them through the Upload Your Own HTML (UYOH) feature.

If you choose this option, we highly recommend that you take some time to review the help for Upload Your Own HTML...

The following section is particularly important...

In addition, you can also integrate SBI!'s built-in functions into your HTML files, using the instructions here...

  • I changed my header logo to be left aligned, but it does not appear to be left-aligned.

Some templates may not be able to align the Header Logo to the left (or as far to the left as you expected). This is because the style's logo setting has limited horizontal space available (due to the dimensions of the original logo image).

If you prefer the logo to be aligned farther to the left...

Download the Header Image and insert the logo where you want it using a graphics app.

Then upload the customized image, which now includes the logo, to the Header using the "Upload New Header Image" feature.

Please note... You must remove the text from the Logo text box, if you decide to upload an image with the logo included. Otherwise, you will have overlapping logos in the Header.

  • I changed the background color for my Page Wrapper, but nothing happened. Why don't my changes show up?

For some design templates, there may be (by default) a background image that sits on top of the background color. For this particular case, use the "Remove Image" tool for the Page Wrapper background (click on the camera icon with the slash through it) to delete the default Background image. Your selected custom color will now show in the Style Editor.
